But here is a suggestion, one of the most common causes of disrespect in teenagers is the absence of boundaries. It's important to let your children know that your house belongs to you. Children who have been spoilt or allowed to have their own way often become disrespectful. In families where there are very few firm rules, disrespect amongst teenagers is almost inevitable.
